Fall has arrived!

Fall has arrived! The kids are back in school. The beaches are deserted, and the air is crisp. BUT the sun still shines and the salty air will still revive your soul. In fact, many visitors to the island and locals alike call this time of year a second summer. If you frequent the island you know that this time of year is considered by many as the best time of year to visit.

The shops are selling their products at discounted prices. The restaurants are celebrating the end of season and will welcome you with open arms. You’ll even see pumpkin influences on many menus. The crowds are gone. AND the Neptune House is open for business and looking forward to showing you why Block Island is more than a summer destination.

Pack your bags for your fall getaway with us. You can cut the sunscreen down to one can but make sure to remember the sweatshirts. We average a high of 70 in the fall and you may need one when sitting by the fire at night after a dip in our heated pool.

Don’t forget to stop by the front desk when you visit. We want to take the opportunity to explain to you why we love the island. Let us suggest places to see and things to do. Let us tell you about Andy’s Way, a hike that may appear intimidating in the summer but is absolutely doable when the air is crisp. You may even find an orb. Don’t forget about bike riding. Not to say you won’t break a sweat but the workout is much different. We live on island and can’t wait to show you why. There’s no better time to do this than now.
