Your Fall Escape
As we look into the fall, there is one thing on everyone’s mind: where can we escape to safely and locally for some of the best outdoor adventures in New England? And what exactly will I fill my time with while I’m there?
Luckily, there are tons of incredible opportunities in your own backyard. Visit Block Island and experience the fall as it should be.
We’ve done the legwork and have outlined some of our favorite things to do on island when the crowds have slimmed.
Let’s face it, orb hunting is a serious affair. Many have seeked and many have failed. Trust me, there will still be glass orbs out there come fall. Hunt smart. Hunt when the humidity subsides. We are optimistic you’ll find one!
Fall is also the best time of year to hop on a bike or put on those hiking boots and head out for the day. There are so many hiking trails to check out that you’ll never be bored. Andy’s Way is one of our favorites for an easy hike. Biking takes place along the roads. Since vehicle traffic is so light in the fall it’s the perfect time of year to take a leisurely bike ride.
You can always sit by the ocean. It’s new England. You’ll probably be wearing a bathing suit today and a sweatshirt tomorrow. However, pack accordingly and you’ll be prepared to spend a day watching the waves. Crescent Beach does not disappoint.
Many of the dining options are open through October. The best part? You won’t have to wait in line to dine.
Lastly but certainly not least, pop a cold one, sit by our heated pool and simply relax. We love to see our friends getting some well deserved R&R.
We’ll be waiting for you at the Neptune House. www.neptunehouse.com
